Frequently Asked Questions

How much investment is required?

$500,000 is a good starting point, but this may vary depending on the type of restaurant, size, location and other variables. We can give you an estimate of total investment required depending on what you are looking for.

How long does it take on average to find a suitable location and be ready to operated?

From 3 months to up to a year, second generation locations are generally a faster process.

Can the investment be made in parts, during the development and opening process?

We strongly encourage that you have the total investment amount from the beginning of the project.

What guarantee do you have that the restaurant and/or concept will be successful?

None, as in any other business there is only risk mitigation. Working with professionals significantly increase the chances of success.

We can recommend a US Immigration attorney, as there are several options that allow foreign investors and their children (under 18) to live and work while your business is operating.

Can the investment be in pesos or dollars?

We recommend that you open a business or personal account in a U.S. bank in dollars.

What taxes will I have to pay in Mexico or in (add) my country for my investments in the United States?

We will also refer you to a fiscal and business CPA specialist that will guide you in this process, however there are countries that allow you to compensate any tax paid in the US against your home country’s income.

What is the profit percentage should I expect from my restaurant in the United States?

This depends on the type of restaurant and operation, but the average restaurant should run between 10% to 15% of your net sales.

Again, this depends on the type of restaurant and operation, however a properly run restaurant should average between 3 to 5 years.
